Torque speed plane calculations (noise maps)

Description

Manatee torque/speed plane feature allows to characterize the electric machine magnetic noise and vibration levels in the whole torque/speed plane on four quadrants (traction / braking / reverse modes), including noise map plots. Calculation can be quickly carried using Magnetic Look Up Table feature of Manatee.

Application

Resonances due to electromagnetic forces may occur at partial load, not necessarily at maximum torque or current level. Magnetic noise may also be different in traction and braking phase. This feature allows electrical engineers and acoustic engineers to calculate acoustic noise and vibrations due to Maxwell forces in the whole torque/speed plane of electric motors, and synthesize sound level at different torque levels.
