Manatee e-NVH software comes with a flexible modeler of e-machine magnetic circuit geometries, which includes Interior or Surface Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (IPMSM or SPMSM). Manatee also allows to define and simulate external rotor machines (outrunners).
A complete set of slot/hole/pocket parametric templates is provided to quickly define the magnetic circuit geometry, which allows to perform parameter sweeps on the lamination or magnet shape input variables.
Special slot or magnet pocket geometries can be defined using slot .dxf import and magnet pocket .dxf import features. Manatee also allows to define uneven pole distribution and uneven bore shape (sinusoidal flux concentration, or user-defined pole shape imported from .dxf file).
As for other AC machines, the winding pattern can be automatically defined using star of slot method. Predefined templates or user-defined geometries of rotor or stator ventilation ducts, notches and skew are also available for PMSM machines.
